Default Gains from locking verter in 3rd at the track, turbo car?

I got one pass off this year so i dont have much test and tune yet. Im going back on sunday and I rigged up a converter lock up manual switch yesterday.

Has anyone had any good results on an FI car locking the verter at about 6k in 3rd in order to get direct drive?

I usually go through the traps at about 6200 so i think this will bring me down to about 57-5800 rpm which is right at the peak of my hp.

From what I have been told, it might give you a couple of MPH but not a better ET. I couldn't test it myself because I have a TH400

I picked up 30rwhp and 25rwt when I locked mine up on the 3rd run of dyno day, a while ago. Try locking it at 4K, because it does take some time to lock due to PWM, unless you can change that parameter to make the lock faster. It can't be instantaneous or stuff will break.

I tested a lock-up in a custom T400. Manuall locked it after I shifted into 2nd. Never picked up anything ETwise in back to back runs. Possible 1/2mph gain. But I also had a good converter...lock-up broke and I never fixed it..

It would depend on how efficient your converter is. If you have a lot of converter slip I could see a gain.
