Default How much clearance from manifolds and exhaust?

Just curious how much clearance is enough. My engine bay is cramped and some places I only have about an inch of clearance from exhaust pipes to vacuum lines, power steering etc.

If it can melt or burn an inch is to close with out being protected. It also depends on how much power you make and how much the engine moves (motor mounts). I ussually use 1/2 inch to metal on tight engines, but on loose motor mounts even an inch isnt enough sometimes.

When I had a turbo on my car I wrapped any lines that were close with heat relective tape.
