Default 5.7ltr LS1 Holden Commodore - Maggie 122 - 10.96@130mph

Hey guys,

Just thought I would post up the times that I ran a couple of weeks ago with my Maggie 122 blown 5.7ltr LS1 Holden Commodore. I'm still running the stock bottom end with a 224/232 blower cam, Patriot Stage III LQ9 heads, Maggie 122 running 10psi, 4500rpm hi-stall and 4.11 gears and it made 378rwkw (507rwhp).

On slicks I went out to a local track and ran 10.96@130mph with a 1.64 second 60' time. I was very happy with this time being my first attempt on slicks as it was running 11.11@130mph on drag radials. This car is my daily driver and I drove it to and from the track (200 mile round trip) and only changed wheels on the day to race. Below are a few video's of the back to back 10 second passes and a few pictures of the car for you to check out. I'm looking at heading back out in a few weeks as I've found a few areas that I can improve and I will hopefully gain a few tenths/mph.

Congrats! That doesn't look like a 10 sec car. I mean that in a good way too. Very nice.

Brett great result !!

are you still running the 4l60e trans ?

Been thinking bout going auto, I'm sure the m6 is holding me back at the strip, run a pb of 11.1 @ 127mph with 464 rwkw.

manual is fun, but an auto would keep the turbo spooled through the whole run.

Thanks for that, it definately doesn't look that modified which helps keep some attention away from it.

Yep still running the 4L60E which was rebuilt and strengthened before the blower went on. An auto is far easier for drag racing, you would be straight into the mid 10's with that sort of power.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll be heading back out again in a few weeks to hopefully get closer to a mid 10 with a few tweaks.

That there mate is very impressive! After watching your car launch it looks like it cuts a 60ft better than a 1.64.

Thanks for posting.
