STS guys who went to bigger turbo in here please??
Im using all the STS piping, deleted there pcv crap.. Im going to a TC78 in the rear. Will I need to change wastegate springs? I want to achieve 8psi running off the gate, I believe the stock sts was like 6.. Will the new turbo compensate for this or did anyone up there springs when going to a bigger turbo.. Tommorrow I will see what spring is in there to start. Just strange some people say like the 4# springs are good for 8psi.. I dont understand this and am confused on whether to go to bigger spring, just dont want to waste precious dyno time.

Im still using the STS dual boost controller. Not sure to up the spring a little so I can make sure on low running off spring I can hit 8-9 then when running through the sts bleeder valve controller I can run 15-16. Not sure if I need to up the spring to achieve this. Just dont want to get to dyno to figure out I cant get any boost out of it.

I would say you would definately have to change the spring from the stock spring if you want to run 8psi with the controller off. Then watever you want with the controller on.
