Very bright. That's how they look in the sun. That picture was taken with a flash. I couldn't take the picture with my phone because it looks white washed because it's so bright. The only thing is that it doesn't dim when the headlights come on. At night it's a little bright.

Do you have some of the visual output on your head unit as well or does it just happen to look similar?

I don't think that I can change the appearance of the gauges outside of the predefined lay outs. There are a few to choose from.

It just worked out that way.

Almost. Something like 3880 depending on how much fuel is in it.

Glad to hear it.

Just wanted to add a few updates.

I was having a hard time with the Bosch 160 injectors. Had to idle very fat (11.5-11.8:1) in order to keep them from surging. Being as though my cam is relatively small and I only have 370ci, my idle fueling requirements were too low for the MIPW of 1.6 ms that those injectors seemed to want. I got a set of the Holley 120# low imp and they work fantastic. Car idles solid at 14-14.5:1.

Right after I got the new injectors, I blew up the output planetary in my Th350 transmission. This transmission didn't owe me a thing. I've been pulling 1.3 60's on 2 wheels since 2007 @ almost 3900# race weight. Only problem that I have ever had with it was that from day one, it pushes thru the transbrake at over 3600 RPM. So that's where my 2 step has always been set. So almost 4 years later, I'm looking at what I should do about a transmission. I went ahead and pulled it apart and found that the splines in the output shaft were a little tweaked as well. I took it back to the guy that built it and was debating whether or not I should fix it and put it back in or just move up to a TH400. He suggested that it would be worth it for me to rebuild it back to it's original state and sell it than to just scrap it. I asked him to address the transbrake issue while he was in there. He replaced all the broken and injured parts and put in a new set of red clutches and steels. 36 element intermediate sprag/drum assembly.

I put it in and took it for a blast. Shifts perfect but the transbrake still wont hold over 3600 rpm. I've decided that I need to sell it while it's brand new. I'm thinking $700 hopefully local. I was really wanting to do a 4L80E but then I would have to buy a new converter also. With the TH400, I'll just have to shorten the driveshaft most likely.

So, that gives me a little down time now that the air is starting to get hot again. I've known since the first time that I tried to build any significant boost (14+ psi), that the T4 .96 A/R exh housing on my PT88 turbo is too small for a 370ci motor. I bought the thing from a buddy with a TType (V6) and they are often found next to a 2JZ motor under the hood of a Supra. I got to looking around and found what I hope to be the answer. T6 1.08 bolt on exhaust housing.

This thing has a 5" DP opening so I will need to step that down to my 4" DP. Shouldn't be a big deal as it uses the same turbine wheel.

Can't wait to see the results of the new housing!

Too bad the trans swap will mask the housing swap.
Did you ever get any BP readings with the old setup?

Is that with weight w/ you in the car? I know you have about 20lbs more in the seat than I do.

You're build was/is an inspiration to me also. It was what finally made me go LSx from BBC.

Looks like that T6 is gonna be a tight fit..Do you think you will have to move anything?

No BP readings. I know that it's choked though. When I remove the crossover to weld the T6 flange on, I'm going to add a bung to log back pressure.

That weight is with me in the car.

I'm going to do some measuring today. It doesn't seem that much bigger physically than the T4 .96 w/ the blanket on it. I will be getting the housing coated.

If I find that I have to move the turbo at all, I will be modifying the exhaust manifolds with vband flanges and changing the angle so that they face perfectly forward like we did on BonnarLS1's build.

Speaking of modifying the truck manifolds; did you guys do any special prep for welding the cast iron? I would worry about them becoming brittle. I know you havent had a problem with his, so I was just curious.

Edit: I found my answer https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...nifolds-4.html

I'm glad to see you going to a t6 flange, are setups will be pretty close to the same. I will probably be hitting you up when it comes to tuning/track time for some knowledge.

You should give Jakes Performance a call about a 4l80, I am happy with mine so far. MVB and a brake.

I'm not the welder so not sure exactly how he did it. I just know that it's TIG'd and that he said that the exhaust manifold iron was very easy to work with.
