hey i have a 1994 GMC Sierra 5.7 tbi truck that i want to turbo but i want to keep it on a low budget can anybody help me with what i need to do? the internal of the motor is stock and it has about 170.000 miles. the whole purpose for me to turbo is for the sound and a little bit of power increase iam not going to race it at the track but meir for looks and sound being that it is a show truck. what turbo would work and how much boost would i run being that it is stock motor. can anybody run me in the right direction in this project on a list of things i need to get this project of the ground and running?

Master Power T-70 turbo - 600
Wastegate - 200-500
blow off valve - 50-500
turbo kit - depends how handy you are
Intercooler - 100-1500

You can run like 5PSI on a stock motor, some people have had great luck really pushing stock motors but they're few and far between. My suggestion would be head over to theturboforums.com and read a little over there.

The biggest things is fuel and timing . get atleast a 255lph fuel pump can be had off ebay for under a 100 bucks , with tbi you will have to go the fmu route and you can get a custom chip for your ecm from many places online. get you a turbo and fab some pipes up and be good to go. If you are as cheap as i am ebay is your friend:
