Procharger guys Seems like this is a 99% turbo forum and 1% supercharger, lol. Lets make this a all supercharger thread, show some pics, mods, unique set-ups everyone is doing. Pipe routing, intercooler stuff etc. etc. I wanna looks at some eye candy here, its cold here in Chicago and need some modivation to get back to workin on mine!! What tensioner is that for the regular belt. I am thinking about ditching my PS over the winter. I haven't taken any pics since I redid all my intercooler plumbing. I will get some soon as things will be changing again. Also I see you are running a vic jr intake can I see some pics of how the fuel rails are mounted to the intake. I am wondering if I can reuse my rails I have now or if I need different ones. |
the tensioner is just the reg. billet ones you buy. I did however unolt it and flipped it so the mounting tabs faced away from the pully so it pushed the pully out more and then you dont need to use such a big spacer. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f6...y/DSC00576.jpg |

Again taubr, been following your build thread for awhile, glad to see it's coming together. Should be a badass ride. What kind of power are you expecting out of it? |
Great Idea!!! I have had zero problems with mine tho. Next summer i do plan on upping my boost a litte more tho.:cool: |
thanks KINGLT1... personially im not lookin to be a "dyno racer", after all said and done i.e. suspension set-up perfect, tuned in perfect etc. im lookin for a 9.xx pass. I think we should get there on 12psi of boost and a 27xx race weight. |
I am not really trying to bash anyone, just stiring the pot a bit (gotta rock watcha got :cool:) They both have there pro's and con's. It just seems to me that I see people get way in over there heads on turbo setups and then get frustrated with FI in genral. The ProCharger kit is such an easy bolt on that most anyone can do it. Gotta admit that the turbos make great power, ill do one just a soon a I win the lottery ;) |
ya turbos are killer. Later on in a few years or more i plan on making a kit. This procharger will get me into the forced induction phase and learn a lot about it and its a "bolt-on" too. I think KP's car is a prime example of what a d1sc can really do. Really gotta respect that guy, makin that 347 HUSTLE! One thing i didnt know is how much lower the TQ numbers are on supercharged motors VS. a turbo car. I didnt think they were THAT different. Figure TQ on a supercharger motor would be a lot more. |

i will have to go get some pictures of my car/prochager setup once it gets nice out, nothing special just a 383 on 10pounds putting down right under 700 to the wheels. Im in the process of ordering all my stuff for my new heads and intake and my 3.1 pulley for the d1 i have....afr 225's, vic jr setup, meth, and maxing my little d1 out. Everthing else is done on the car besides weight reductions and intalling my last suspention part(anti roll bar) other then that i will be all set to scream on the streets!! Keep the pictures and stuff coming guys im interested in everyones setup also |

ya i know about the power coming in with rpms, but every procharger power output. the tq numbers are like 100 less then the HP numbers. Where as tq on a turbo car is usually higher then the hp. |
