concerned about fumes(downpipe routing)

I need the advice of experienced people on here

I put a very short downpipe on my car, just to get it started.

well I finally started the engine and now I need to decide how to route the downpipe permanently.

I have a small schoenfeld(circle track) muffler on there and it sounds PERFECT. I could not ask for a better sound so its not the sound Im worried about as much as the fumes.

Im considering running it out the side of the car, kinda like this

but, the car will be driven to the track and driven on the street maybe 1000 miles a year. will I get a lot of fumes with this routing??

the other option is to run it under the car and dump before the axle. would this be any better?

Is there any way I can tune the idle for very low exhaust fumes?

help.

Only when the passenger side window is down and generally only at low speeds

Might need to be concerned about your turbo being tilted too.

The axis being at an angle. Could end up having oil seeping past seals, or extra wear on your bearings. Just a thought.
