Default 370 or 402 w/PT-88

My original plan was to build a 370ci LQ9. I am now looking at a ERL LS2 w/superdeck system (6 bolt). Most of their stuff is larger ci wise. Presently considering a 402 although it seems it might max out the pt88? Shawn with ERL stated he can build anything I want just wanted to get your guys opinion on it.

if it was me id only go to a 370, though others have done a 402-408 with a pte88.
you just wont rev it as high and will have more backpressure with the t4 flange.

Yeah a 370 would suffice with that turbo. Look at Trmn8or's car. His hauls *** with a 370 and PT88.. Just a thought!

370 for sure, esp. if you want to push the turbo hard.

My main thing is I do plan to take the car to the track but ultimately I want a crazy fast street car. Never gonna be a daily driver again. It seems the 402 could work on the street although at the track I agree it may be a bit much.

I thought maybe the 402 could make the hp I want(1200) with a little less boost than the 370. Thus working the turbo a bit less and not being as hard on internals of the motor at the same time. Totally overlooked the fact that its not a t6 and that a 91 would probably be a better fit.

A 402 will be harder to control on the street. Not the other way around.

I'm thinking that I've already outgrown the Pt88 exhaust housing with my setup. I'm having to put 32 psi of CO2 on the back of the WG to get 19 psi of boost. I think that this is indicative of excessive backpressure. I would say to stay under 370ci with this turbo.

As far as working the turbo less, that's not how it works. The bigger motor will work it harder.

How about 385ci?

Uses a 6.0 block, LQ9 or LS2

We have an exclusive piston design in the works. Strong piston that shouldn't
lift or crack ring lands like 408 pistons we've seen.

370 would be the best motor for that turbo in my opinion... also remember a proper setup and good tuning is more important than more cubes, alot of guys seem to look past this and go for just bigger cubes!
