Arrow 408 Setup Question [STS turbo]

Simple question and throughout searchnig all I've read alot of mixed emotions however I have on specific question. In regards to my specific build and it is as follows.

I'm currently looking at purchasing an STS Turbo Kit, T67 Turbo, Twin Procharger Intercoolers. Complete kit, theres no need to list all the piping etc.

My goals are simple, extremely streetable car. Comfortably in the 10sec range in regards to the 1/4 mile. Would like to see 700hp.

Would this setup work for my goals or should I purchase a front mount setup or twin turbo setup?

Thanks for helping

Thanks, I don't plan on taking it out on rainy days. However unfortunately I'm stuck in Washington state so that kinda sucks, so I'm liable to get caught eventually.

Anyone else have comments / sarcastic remarks

a rear mount will do fine in the rain. unless you put a snorkel kit on, don't submerge it. i don't know if a t67 will make it to 700... my buddy is pushing just over 630 with his t67 on 100oct. fuel & forged ls1.., a small shot of NO2 or meth might get it to 700 though

Yep T67 is to small, I would look into the turbo technology kits, besides they're right down the road from you in South Tacoma.

yeh i don't think a 67mm will make 700 RWHP.

It may make ~550 or so. A TC76 will get you up there

You'll have to do a custom build if you want 700+ rwhp. With a 408 you'll need an 80mm turbo minimum, preferably an 88mm. Procharger inter coolers aren't very efficient and will not work well at that power level. Large turbine sides are needed with that many cubes.

Are you talking bigger turbo and efficient intercooling?

Thanks mike I'll read over there, appreciate all the responses everyone.

How about a rear mounted GTS 76 mm, with a single Front Intercooler?

I would agree with Zom... but if you are looking for true streetable... you could go with a 76GTS (smallest I would go)... Stay with a small frame turbo if you can but a 67 is much too small.

Zombie runs a 80mm (I think he is still...) and I am running a custom PT88

A 76mm turbo will back pressure a lot on a 408 and fall off quick on the top. The exhaust sides are pretty restrictive on most. Big cube motors need big turbos. Doubt it will make much over 650 rwhp as a rear mount on a 408 and will probably peak in the low 5k range. Expect back pressure over 3:1
