1 7/8 vs 1 3/4 headers

Hey guys I,m wondering.I have a 02 ws6 with a vortech v9 gtrim running 8 lbs of boost, dart heads fast intake and stock bottom end. I currently have 1 3/4 pacesetters with a magnaflow catback(no cats). Would it be worth it to go with kooks or? 1 7/8 headers. Would I notice the difference? Thank

Yes, I would go with a bigger header. Blowers like free flowing exhaust. I wish I could have went with a bigger header than the 1 3/4 Pacesetter.

I am going big from the very start for my D1SC @ 8psi build...picked up some Kooks 1 7/8"x2" stepped headers. Got them for a steal.

I have heard keeping the 1 3/4 LT's will get you a little more torque but larger LT's will net higher HP.

Is this a correct statement cause I didnt plan to buy new LT's for my build. And I'm currently running the 1 3/4 Pacesetters.

I gained 70 rwhp opening the cutout. Getting a bigger header for my setup will prolly let me gain even more.

On a small head unit such as that you will see little to no gain at all. I know this as I tried and its not a gain worth the money for sure! But you don't have to take my word for it. GL!

Word. On a 346 with a D1, 1 3/4" header will be just fine.

Well thats what I wanted ,answers from people thats been there did that. new headers are pretty expensive and probably not alot of fun to install and I was wondering about bang for the buck. thanks everybody for your input. (now about that bigger head unit:D)
