Default Any decent hp non-intercooled guys???

I've got an air to air on the car now and I see inlet temps around 110* @ 17psi on the dyno. I don't really have the coin to drop on a whole air to water setup right now. I've been thinking of ditching the IC and going with meth/alch injection or just a very very small nitrous kit. What have some of you guys done and had good results on cars that make some decent power?

What fuel?

I saw an 88mm mustang non-IC running e85 that was logging 10* below ambient at the end of a pass.

E85. Only time I'll ever switch is to try drag radial late this season. Silly people banned the fuel!

Someone in here did an engine dyno test, and was able to get more power with straight water. I like 50 50.....personally. I just did a devils own kit cause I had iats near 200. (540 with a procharger and procharger intercooler) Ambient temps in all these posts should be posted as well.......as well as humidity, for any comparisons to be made.

Anyways, with the devils own on straight water I logged underhood ambient. Only one test pass. Then I drained the tan and put in 50 50. It dropped another 25 degree for a total of 100 degrees less then no water meth. On a car that is only at 117 now....thats about were I ve seen a coupe others cars I ve done. With water meth they get into the 60's.....about 30 under ambient.

All this depends on jet size, pump set up, pressure, on psi, full psi etc....only testing and logging to know for sure.

BTW idiots for banning e85....I cant believe it......good for everything and ban it...
It sounds so retarded I bet Las Vegas motor speed way will jump on board with that. On the plus side no one that works there is bright enough to be able to tell what e85 is...

Did then ban m100..........I d do that. Wait I all ready am..

What's wrong with 110* at 17#? I agree - spray a bit of meth and keep the A2A.

Dynos usually show high IAT because even with a big-*** fan blowing straight into a car the airflow is not the same as driving. How are you IAT's on the street or strip?

There is nothing terribly wrong with 110* inlet temps, but I wouldn't mind a bit lower, lol. The main reason for this question is I'm thinking about moving the turbo and will no longer be able to fit an air to air intercooler.

Exactly why do you want to move the turbo?

I bet the ban on e85 was caused by low vp gas sales. Compaire e 85 is about $2 a gallon vs $7 or $9 a gallon vp good stuff.

Any way spray a 50 50 meth mix and u should pick up power aswell. I think straight meth helps more for a octain boost ie low combustion temps. Water is the best absober_spellin_ in heat transfer.

Nope. Not kit on the car this year. I have some idea's in mind. Just gotta get the time to try them out. I better hurry up because as soon as the boat hits the water, the car will be on the back burner.
