Question twin turbo vs turbo

whats the advantages and disadvantages between twin turbos and single turbo systems.

lol....i think maybe the twins would spool faster...it looks cooler....but costs twice as much

A twin turbo would allow you to use two smaller turbo's to spool faster allowing you to run more boost with less lag compared to one large turbo.

when u want more then 2000hp you go with twins, or your street car to spool fast and look cool.

twins definetly alot better for street driveability. big power single turbos only good for track cars IMO.

go with twins you won't be disappointed just your wallet might be !!!

I'd say that twins cost 30-40% more. It can cost double but it shouldn't if the final objective is based on the same power in the comparison. The biggest benefit to the twins IMO is that they are alot easier to package.

One other thing would be the upkeep and troublshooting on the twins if you have a boost leak you cant find it lol.

I would find it better assurance with single setup personally. All depends on what you are doing with the car in the end though.

dd twins here... i love it .... full spool at 3k .....great daily driver and with 9.7:1 k/r .. she is very responsive and efficient
