Getting Ready To Install Procharger..Just Have a Few Questions
I have a procharger p1sc kit that I'm going to install and have a few questions:
*What pulleys' do I need to run 8 psi on my ls1? Right now the only pulley in my kit is the one on the procharger head unit
*What is a 8 rib pulley setup and how can I upgrade to one?
*I need the electric fan,and appropriate shroud conversion parts, but don't know what the part numbers are
*Also need a few piping pieces but once again I don't have a parts/number list

Do you think i'll be ok with the 6 rib with 8 psi? I don't have plans to go
higher than 8psi..So far I have the piping/intercooler/p1sc unit/bracket/blow
off/metal plumbing..I need a few rubber hoses to complete the plumbing
aspect..I'm gonna upgrade the fuel pump with a walbro and get ~60 lb
injectors..still need to get a crank pulley, electric fan and shroud, radiator
mount,a belt, fuel filter,fuel pump,injectors,race tronix wire kit,spark
plugs, maf couplings, wideband and other gauges...I'm having a tough time
with finding part #'s on the procharger parts

If you wanted to upgrade to the 8 rib assembly this link is what you'll need. You'll need the balancer and pinning kit that is in the option section of this link. If you have the six rib crank pulley and blower pulley, I would go ahead and try using it. The P-1SC doesn't require as much horsepower to spin it as the D-1SC does, so you should stand a better chance of the six rib working without having belt slippage. The pulley on the head unit will have a number stamped on it, which is the pulley size. You'll probably need a pulley in the 3.4 range, but there are a number of factors that work into sizing the blower pulley.
How much boost the blower can produce depends on many variables.
* Cubic inch. The larger the engine the less boost it will make with a supercharger.
* Headers and exhaust. A better flowing system will produce less boost, requires a smaller pulley to regain the loss in boost. Ultimately though, more power will be gained.
* Camshaft and heads. A camshaft with some overlap will leak out some boost through the valves. Better flowing heads react a lot like a better flowing exhaust system.
* Altitude. Elevation plays a big part in how much boost is produced. Those people living in the higher elevations have to spin the blower harder to see boost.
* Condition of engine. An engine with real good sealing rings will ultimately produce more boost than one with worn rings.
* Rpm. An engine that is spun up higher in the rpm range will normally produce more boost.
You are going to want to install a new crank bolt when you install that 6 rib crank pulley, and make sure you use loc-tite on it. Here is a link to the crank bolt. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-DC017...DC017A-001.htm

Remove the driver's upper and the lower stand to
bracket mounting bolts and loosen the passenger upper
bolt to allow bracket to be pivoted enough for the belt to
be installed over the lower standoff. Hang the belt on
the standoff and install and tighten all stand to bracket
bolts.
Some belts will be easier to install if you pivot the
supercharger in the bracket using the lower mounting
bolt only. Install the belt over the crank pulley and then
finish installing the blower mounting bolts. The antisway
bar may need to be lowered to facillitate
installation of some of the mounting bolts.
