wastegate to it's own muffler I have been told that you can get around a restrictive header by not feeding the wastegate into the downpipe. Does this work? What is the idea behind it Thanks :) |
most people just dump it if they dont reroute the wastegate. makes it oud, i suppose you could use its own muffler, wouldnt need to be big. or you could just route the wastegate back in further down the bettter. |
think you are a tad misinformed.. you can vent the wastegate to atmosphere or back into the downpipe. may pick up hp by venting to atmosphere because of the downpipes size, but nothing to do with the manifold. if you are talking about positioning the wastegate before the manifold vs. after, then thats a nother story.. and highly debated ;) |
Ah the sound of a vented wastegate. I tell you this, if people dont hear the turbo they definitely know something is up when you hit full boost. |
