Default Looking for no more than 600rwhp

Which AFR heads would be best for this build? And which procharger(head unit) should I use?
Car is M6, Forged LS1 based 347 or 383 (not sure on compression), 100mm MAF, FAST102/102, mild blower cam.
Car is a weekend warrior.
thanks

http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-1GJ20...F-Body-Kit.htm The D-1SC head unit option in the above link will easily get you 600 rwhp. AFR 225 cc heads would be the heads I would recommend if you are going with AFR heads. As has been mentioned though, your stock heads will get you 600 rwhp, although the AFR heads will get you 600 rwhp with less boost. Bob

was that with stock T/B and MAF?
How were your air intake temps?

Stock TB no MAF speed density tuned. I also had Meth so My IATs where close or lower than ambient in boost.

A D1SC and AFR heads would definitely get you 600rwhp easily and some room to grow later on. I say put a 3.4 pulley on it and let her rip!!

Here is my suggestion if you are set on a 383 and AFR heads. I would try and get your CR to somewhere between 9.5 and 10.0:1 And run a small bore 225 AFR head. Also no real need for the Fast intake as lots of people have gone 8s on ls6 intakes. Also the D1 will meet your needs of 600twhp. Should be able to do it on like 8# with that set up. But if you think your plans will change down the road to make more power then get an F1A now

I am set on the AFR's but not the 383. After doing more research, I think it will be better to do a forged 347 with my stock parts (LS6 intake,T/B, MAF)
Will I need meth for this setup?
How much boost for 550-600 on this setup?
thanks for your help.

If you go AFR's make sure you get adjustable rockers. AFR's will eat up valve guides with factory rockers. I'm 1 of 3 who experienced it locally. I had to replace 4 in each head.

Get some 317s, meth and run 13#s. AFR heads and fast 102 are not necessary for only 600whp, most of us make that much on ls6 intake mani and stock heads. Im a turbo guy so Ill tell you to go turbo

^^^^ THIS, I have a forged 6.0 w/ twin GT3076r's, stock heads, stock cam, and made 730/750 @ 14lbs. This is conservative, being that I have only 72lbers, and a BAP @ 71% duty cycle on 91 pump...

Thanks for all the help guys.
The only reason I was talking about the fast102/102 is I already have it from a previous build (high comp. nitrous motor) but I still have my stock parts (ls6 intake)
And for the heads, I thought having a thicker deck was better when boosting.

The thicker deck heads do help but for the power level you are looking for a stock casting head will get you there with no problems

It may hand in there. Back at the old shop we put our blower cam and a D-1SC at 8 psi in a 2008 Corvette. We were hard pressed to keep in under 700 rwhp, those LS3 heads flow like crazy! We pulled a lot of timing out of it and got it down to 670 rwhp. The customer wanted to keep the blower pulley we had on it to bring the boost in sooner as he planned on short shifting it most of the time. I heard from him this past year and it was still doing fine. Bob
