Default C6 manifold on passenger side = keeping AC on turbo setups?

I did a quick search and couldn't find much specifics on it, though I have seen it mentioned here several times lately. I'm interested in seeing some of the hot side plumbing that uses a C6 manifold on the passenger side, and the typical "truck" manifold on the drivers side, which retains the AC.

Is the geometry of the C6 manifold different enough that it clears the AC condenser? I assume the flange sits higher or something, and is compensated for when merging to the driver's side for a front mount oriented turbo setups?

A friend of mine is a professional welder, so I'm halfway kicking around the idea of trying to weld up a new hot side that would allow me to keep my AC.

Pics and advice appreciated!!!

Looks pretty good! So he kept the stock radiator location and just added pusher fans? It sits a little low, did he have any oil drainage issues from the turbo?

it looks like he has it low because he kept the front sway bar.

I have done a couple T4 and T6 setups. At the end of the day after the Alt relocation and Turbo K-member it was only a few hundred cheap than the A/C Headers setups I do.

Thanks, yes stock radiator location and I did pull stock fans and put pushers on. You may be able to make a custom shroud and use pullers.
Re: the low part, I think it is an optical illusion...it is about as high as it can be and still give good clearance with the angled back stock rad, center of the turbo is a tick higher than the center of the crank, turbo is still in this location (yrs later) and I have never had any drain issues

Also, do yourself a favor and get a tubular k-member....it makes almost anything possible with respect to tubing routing...and offsets some of the weight of the turbo kit.

If I decide to make up a new kit with the C6 manifold, I'm definitely planning on a tubular K. Come August I think I'll be happy with the extra effort.

I need to get on it though - I wanted to have my car back together by April which gives me 6 weeks...and to start all over with a new turbo kit is going to set me back time/money.
