Default +First build- 404+GT-91 **Updated Track results+VID**

Hey guys this is my first turbo setup and I'm a little nervous about it.

This is what I have so far-

My motor is-
404/Lq4 by Colorado Performance 9:1cr
Diamond Pistons
compstar crank and rods w/arp2000
PRC stage 2.5- 5.3 heads w/ls3 gaskets
studded top and bottom
Cleavite 77's
Zo6 Cam
LS6 intake
80# injectors

The turbo setup consist's of-

T-6 GT-91mm from Jose at forced inductions.
fleabay cx racing intercooler
Turbosmart 50mm pro gate
Tial Bov
Eboost-2

Drivetrain consist's of

Th400 from ace trans in texaas
Midwest chassis fab 9 with pro nodular center section and 3.25 gears
Strange shocks

I'm a little undecided how to go about the fuel system. I currently have twin gss340's and larger feed line. Also the best fuel I can regularly get is 91. I do have a meth kit but really dont want to run it.

My goals are to be able to crack 1000hp on the dyno and run 9's with a 7100 DA.
See any weak points?

here is some pics of the griffin in place and intercooler

I think you should go with a set of AFR's rather than a cast GM head. Depending on boost of course. I've heard bad things about big boost and GM heads. Some people have luck, some don't.

I knew i was probably pushing the limit with these heads. What would you say the comfortable limit with them is?

I recommend bigger injectors, at least 120's.

I like how you tucked the radiator under the support and notched it for the cap. As long as you put good finish on the notch I think that looks alot cleaner than than notching the support whole length of the radiator like most people do. Good luck on the build, looks good so far.

What did you use as a mounting point for the intercooler? Utilize existing parts or fab up custom brackets?

Im curious also. Ive done the same thing and I havent gotten to the point where its drivable so I havent thought too much about it. I was thinking 2 brackets off of each frame rail with some kind of rubber pad holding the radiator in place. I also have some rubber strips top and bottom to keep from rubbing.

I used NAPA rubber motor mounts and bolted them to the a bracket I built on the bottom and top. I can remove/install my radiator in about two minutes and its as stout as a brick **** house when installed.

Changed a couple thiings- added a flex joint in.

Also heres the first start with 5" DP dumped at engine bay. The tune is a little off-its my first 3 bar tune with the help of Colorado performance.

Good work man. That's gonna be loud for sure. Is it tough sorting out the tune? I imagine I'll have mine dyno tuned. I still have a ways to go lol. One of these days i'll make it down there to check it out. I'm glad it freaking snowed again! This crap is getting old! The build is looking good. Later Chris
