My first F.I build. 02 Z06
Now that I've finally got all the parts in and the car is going to the shop on the 2nd I can post a build.
Car is a Quick Silver 02 Z06 with 54k on the clock. Current mods are 1-3/4 LT's, catted X pipe and B&B PRT cat back. These were on the car when I bought it and the LT's will be changed out in a couple months. Other mods are Vararam, and carbon fiber power duct and ECS tune. The car also has a shifter, but I nor the previous owner know what it is.
Here's this go around's parts list:
A&A Vortech YSi kit with fuel system upgrades
8 Rib upgrade
Spec Stage 3 clutch and billet flywheel
Snow meth/water kit
Custom spec'd cam from XP Racing in OKC
650 lift springs with associated goodies
And of course a boost and fuel psi gauge
Couple pics of the car right after I got it home
And some quick pics of the good stuff
Has nothing to do with the engine build other than my M/T's are going on these:
The good stuff will start later in the year. LS3 based 418, TFS 245's and I'm still not sure on the intake yet. Oh and a lot more boost and big fuel system.

If I have to, I'll go with a Fast 102, but a friend of mine has a C5 with a bad **** sheetmetal custom built for his, but I'm not sure I want to spend $2,800 on a intake alone.

Don't have any close ups of it. Its an actual replacement door and not just a cover, even works off the factory popper and errrthing.

Tons of thread about intake selection on here. Short answer is the LS6 intakes do a great job in FI applications. LS6 intake cars have gone 8's in the 1/4. Only all out race cars spinning way above 6000 RPM can actually get much gains off the other options. Of course, it doesn't have the wow factor of a shiny fabbed one.

Finally have some good progress to report.
Engine is back in the car along with new clutch and flywheel. Trans and rear end back in the car. Fuel pump is in. Going up tonight to help wire in the gauges and meth kit and start installing the blower brackets. I'm really hoping the blower kit will be buttoned up tomm after noon and he can start on the driveability tune and I'll pick it up to break in the clutch Friday and through the weekend.

And thanks on the wheels. Most folks thought I was crazy for doing a 6 spoke.

Rolled her off the dyno about 6pm tonight.
Final numbers, 686rwhp, 533lb/ft. Ran out of injector and stretching her out to 7k, with the numbers climbing. I'm stoked with the results and especially how the car drives.

Round 2 has now started. First up is a trans rebuild with new hydraulics, a complete new RSI fuel system with ID2000 injectors. A 3.47 blower pulley (currently has a 3.8) and ditching the A&A blower inlet for a grate/screen set up for the dyno and Sat night's in Mexico.
