From what I've read 1000+ Hp can be had. Not a weak point.

A lot of big power has been made on stock cranks. Keeping rpm down is the best way to keep it alive, along with proper machining of the block and assembly.

I'll ask the question that everyone wants to know...why a stock crank with the lsx block?

Why cheap out with the crank when your spending big bucks on the block? If your really focusing using a stock crank just use a 6.0L block. LSX blocks I think are for High HP stroker apps. Thats just me though..

Definitely dont cheap out on the crank if your gonna be spending that kind of dough on a block! I would build that bitch bullet proof that way I dont have to worry about it blowing sky high if I wanna turn it up later on down the road.

The LSX blocks are notorious for core shift. If you bore them to a size you are supposed to be able to bore them to they can fail. If it's a crappy core shifted block.
