| trnsfmr99 | Mar 7, 2011 11:56 PM | I'm Wiser Now When i first joined the ls1tech family, i had a stock ls1 car and like most of us, i upgraded from that to an ls6 block, then to a cam (i never did heads, no homo) then nos. Looking back from this point, i needed to figure if i would keep the nos or go forced induction. Doing the math and God blessed me with the means, i decided to go turbo. Unlike most of yall, at this time, the only thing i could do is basic maintenance, keep a ride clean and drive my ass off (6 spd). Upon making this decision, I started doing plenty of research and made some great friends along the way (Josh from KTYP, Geoff from EPS, and a few more, you know who you are). By the time I really learned what forced induction was all about, it took 2 motors and the integrity of an unknown shop to have me realize that there is no such thing as a "budget build". I'm venting now, but for those that read threads just to read and are considering going forced induction, do it right the first time and be done. I promise myself that this time around, it will be done right and nothing will have to be rebuilt again. For all those that helped me and I didn't mention, there are so many of you, a big thank you across the board!! so, I'm Wiser Now!! |
