Default Eboost 2 can I get to 20psi on 7.5 psi gate springs

Can I get to 20psi on 7.5psi gate springs with my eboost2? On my talon I had to go up on springs from 10psi to 20psi as found could only get about double spring pressure out of it but was using manual controller. I have not tried to see how far can take the 7.5psi springs just was running them on gate pressure only last season but now want to go up on boost with new combo and be able to ramp up boost .For ramping its handy to have 7.5 for low boost and then go up from there. 10psi would be a lot of boost /power but don't want to get limited to 15psi max want to be able to get to 20 or so max.

So whats the verdict eboost 2 guys?

double is about the best you can do when using manifold pressure as your multiplier on the gate..I know when I went past double it needed more than 1psi on the gate for 1 psi of increase. If you can incorporate and external pressure source like CO2, you can go further.

There really isn't a set standard for this type of thing. Too many variables come into play such as back pressure, etc. Best bet is to try it out and see what happens.

I have 6.6base and have run 20psi. Eboost 2, left solenoid port to bottom of gate, middle to compressor. Dont even have the top hooked up.

66mm precision gate

agreed, but 2x the spring may be problematic, hence why I said what I did earlier.

Yup. You get to a point and freeing up the backside or using CO2 is about you're best options.

You have to hook it up using the "two port method".

it can do it, it will not be as consistant.

i keep an eye on my logs for my 10# spring to get inconsistant, but hangs in there nicely at 25# so its still in the car

Which two port connection method are you guys using (1 or 2)? I'm using the two port connection method (1) on my Eboost2, but I've wondered how the method (2) would do?

Turbosmart also lists in the most recent online manual (http://www.turbosmartonline.com/index.php?s=downloads) a two port method (3) that uses an optional four port solenoid for a wide range of boost pressures. I wonder how it would do?
