Does this clear a stock hood?

Ryans99ls1 06-19-2011 09:11 PM

Fiiiiiiinally a reasonably priced relocation bracket. Looks great.

ModularTurbo 06-19-2011 09:12 PM

Absolutely!
It clears the stock hood.
This kit is a dream to install guys.
Less than 45 min

FastKat 06-19-2011 09:29 PM

Looks great - I'm guessing it's steel?

Everything in the pics is so clean! (My alternator looks like it sat in a puddle of dirty water for a few years.)

ModularTurbo 06-19-2011 09:32 PM

yes it is steel

Chris@CBR 06-19-2011 09:54 PM

The cool thing about this is you don't have to buy anything else, it's a turn key kit.
Not special alternator to buy no plugs to buy and wire in no trips to the parts store
hoping they have the right belt, nothing. Open the box and get to work!!!

evo462 06-19-2011 10:00 PM

Looks great, as I expected. Can't wait to get mine.

boss79z 06-19-2011 10:39 PM

Nice piece for sure. I may need a glossy black one from you in the near future.

TX RED 06-19-2011 11:10 PM

will this clear aftermarket fuel rails?

ModularTurbo 06-19-2011 11:15 PM

It sure will.

Here is a pic of the clearance you have with a stock fuel rail.
You will have to use a 90* fitting but there's is ton of clearance.

ModularTurbo 06-19-2011 11:28 PM

Chris painted this one red so it would contrast well with the rest of the motor
just for the pic's.

They are all going to be powder coated semi gloss silver metallic.
This matches the aluminum water pump and heads to a "T".

Other colors are extra.
We are powder coating these in house in large batches.

The extra cost is to cover gun clean up and the experience of running the oven for one part.

It's not a good idea to bake multiple colors at the same time.

The colors will contaminate each other.

You will have black specs in your silver and silver specs in your black.

Doesn't look bad, I might have to order one, my setup isn't the most reliable. You should include pics of one in the final color, Fully installed.

Denali08 06-20-2011 02:20 AM

Is it going to fit the higher Amp LS1 truck alternator in F-body?

That would be amazing.

gallo-lo 06-20-2011 05:38 AM

I need 1!

black06g85 06-20-2011 05:57 AM

gonna be needing one in a week or two when I start tearing into my car

Mattsv8 06-20-2011 07:35 AM

ill need one as well.

MUSTANGBRKR02 06-20-2011 07:56 AM

Looks nice. I will be ordering one very soon.

Has this been tested on the street or track for any belt throwing issues?
