Talking Update on my 98 SS Build for 2011 - With pictures

I haven't update anything lately. A lot of waiting on parts.

Blew up the 370ci iron block last September. One of the rod bolts didn't like the 1200+ hp. Started a new build.

This year: 427ci LSX block with all the good stuff. Diamond pistons, Callies Rods, K1 crank, and a cam from Virginia Speed. Changed out the entire short block but had to keep the heads. Same 106MM Precision Turbo.

The big change was going with the Pro EFI ECM (swapped from the AEM). There must be 10 different sensors to control everything from back pressure, traction control, fuel pressure, engine & trans temp, etc, etc. So far, very impressed. We also went with their coils. Plug wire are custom made from Custom Wires.

Joey from Excessive Autosports in Sioux Falls, SD has done the entire build. He has relocated the inter-cooler from under the dash to the passenger seat area. He has been busting his *** to get it finish. Hopefully within the next couple weeks we'll be at the track.

I attached a couple of the engine bay pictures.

Built a bigger IC, wouldn't fit under the dash any longer.

My radiator lays under the turbo. Last year we ran the same set up. Even at top end didn't get above 190. A lot of people said it would not work. Well, it does I have another post with more pictures. I'll see if I can find it.

David

Thanks for the rest of the replies. The weather here (like most places I guess) sucks. 90+ with high humity.

Here's the link to my initial 106MM build. Much the same on the outside.
