alot of people seem to ignore that.
it's easy to tune for the pedal to the floor situations but I know I can see 4-5psi with the pedal only halfway down. If I had not modified when the car goes into WOT mode based on TP I would be running 4-5psi with a 13.1 or leaner A/F in those situations.
Just a wild guess but something to look at. It also could very easily be something was done wrong when the motor was put together.

Pull off your blower outlet and check for signs of oil.
Basic scenario is as follows:
* High cylinder pressure and low tension rings = Blowby
* Blowby = lots of crankcase pressure
* Crankcase pressure + PCV fresh air source to blower inlet = oily gasses in the intake
* oily gasses in the intake = fuel contamination
* fuel contamination = octane of about 80
* octane of about 80 = detonation
* dotonation = motor turns into a

That sounds good but no on a forged bottom end right........... meaning no low tension rings...???

Head Studs or no?
Compression Ratio?
Timing?
Spark Plug type?
No, GM stock headbolts might have been used after talking with my builder... We won't know until they open it up I guess.

No clue on the timing, but it was tuned by the builder at his shop and he tunes very well.

That sucks, especially if there was no warning and it was a relatively fresh engine.
