Do 241's and 853's have the same deck thickness and is it true that 241's have a thicker deck?

slow93z 10-20-2011 07:30 PM

wanting to know as well if the 241s have a thicker deck

703 CAMAROSS 10-20-2011 07:31 PM

That's what iv been told I don't know for sure id like to know as well

Fbodyjunkie06 10-20-2011 07:55 PM

Sure would be nice, I know it isn't going to help near as much as say an aftermarket casting would, but it might be a small crutch over other castings if it is indeed true.

703 CAMAROSS 10-20-2011 08:13 PM

I wonder if patriot or tony mamo would know

That's my thread when I was told that it was thicker.

24lbs a lot on my 5.3 with a billet 76, have hit 30lbs when doing some testing though. Also running 24lbs on a 6.0 with a t6 gt88 with no coolant pushed. Use ls9 gaskets and arp head studs!

103# hi imp. injectors.

I really never intended to hit 18#'s. Was a mistake actually. lol.
13#'s for -DD

What internals do you have?

Fbodyjunkie06 10-21-2011 10:58 AM

Since I started pushing 15psi I always pop the hood at the end of the track before I get on the return road to see if it has pushed any water/coolant and so far so good.

headed-ws6 10-21-2011 11:07 AM

Fbodyjunkie06 10-21-2011 11:10 AM
