Is it worth to upgrade from LS6 intake to a FAST Intake?
I'm starting to get things ready to go FI this spring and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading from Ported Stock TB/Stock LS6 intake to a: Fast 90/90, Fast 92/92 or a FAST 102/102 setup. I will be using ported 317 heads with my D1SC setup. Cost for upgrading ranges from $1000 to $1400. Will I notice any significant HP increase by stepping up to any of the FAST setups?

IMO you could buy a smaller pulley that costs anywhere from $50-$150 and that would gain you more than the cost for a FAST Intake.
Realistically, I would guess maybe 15-25 rwhp over the LS6 intake. I would like to see some research in this area. I have searched it few times and found only posts bitching about them cracking and others with heresay.

just run an extra pound or 2 of boost and that will make more then the fast ever would. not worth the 1400 bucks. fast intakes are good for naturally aspirated cars. fi just not worth the cost

if you got th money and want to get the maximum potential out of the engine then yes.
but you are not ganna see a 25rwhp increase even on boosted applications.
I would guess 10 to 15 is the most you would see. some people have reported no gains at all and some reported actual losses, it really depends on the setup.

Good question.
It's highly doubtful the LS6 intake is posing any restriction at that power level.
That's not to say the FAST or other intake might not offer an improvement though. If they do, it will be very small. Value for money is the question.
If you could pick one up cheap and sell your own to offset some cost, maybe it is worth it.
Or maybe a different cam, spin the blower a bit faster, more efficient intercooler etc etc Or just fit a bigger blower lol
