Default ms4 with d1 procharger?

Will it be ok to run my ms4 cam with a d1 procharger kit? Its just a stock motor so im limited to power anyways. Im just trying to save money where I can. What are your thoughts?

you can run it, its not the best cam for fi , and i would say your best bet its to go with a blower cam, there was a good thread on this topic awhile ago ill see if i can find it for you

Are you on stock bottom end? I wouldn't run that cam because the high RPM will kill it.

EDIT: I just reread your first post. That MS4 has a high rpm range range and with the D1 the higher the rpm the more boost you will make. And for a stock motor that is a ticking time bomb making boost at high rpm!

that is not the thread i was looking for but can i ask why your making another thread on the same topic? there is alot of good stuff in your first thread, i dont know if you just are waiting for someone to say that cam rocks with a procharger because thats not going to happen,

I didn't realize I made that thread. That was over 7 months ago when I was thinking of going forced induction. I just bought my kit.

Yes you will be fine I replied in your old thread when you posted it. Just because the MS4 likes high RPMS doesn't mean you have to spin it that high, lower the rev limiter if needed.
Make sure the "FUEL SYSTEM" is up to par, a "REAL GOOD TUNE" .

Thanks Rob. I have seen your car a few times at auto fair. Where is your rev limiter set at? You made good power. Are you not worried about that power level on stock bottom end? With the way may car is now cam only, it has hardly no low rpm pull. Is yours like that too or did the blower "solve" that?Who tuned your car? I think im going to end up getting mine done by RPM this time.

Limiter is 7,000 I shift at 6,800 yea I'm crazy if it lets go I know why.
I can't complain 3 years and some hard 6,000RPM + launches and still going!!
Tune by Alvin "PCMFORLESS" he made sure it was a good, safe tune!!
I could tell it lacked a little on bottom when (cam only), which is fine for me it doesn't bother me.My car is geared 4:10 which helped when cam only. The cam does have some bleed off which helps to forgive alittle on the motor.
When not in boost yea it suffers in lower RPMS with blower, but a blip of the throttle into boost its fine. The power my car made was more then we expected really.

What size blower pully do you have? I have to order one tomorrow. I was going to talk to talk to bob at brute speed and get his recommendations.

As much as I hated to spend the money, I went ahead and ordered a custom grind blower cam. It is a 228/235 588/595 on 114lsa. Xer lobes.
