You're my new hero! Quick question, I'm using megasquirt for fuel and ignition using just the stock crank wheel for pickup. Can I just ram the zr1 cam in my lq4 with the stock front cover and gear since I'm not using a cam sensor?

Your just dumping the exhaust up front with no muffler? it does not seem too loud
how do you weld the spiders in the rear is it stick welded
I have a ghetto 84 cutlass with iroc wheels on it getting ready to roll out in a few months same turbo and intercooler on a 5.3 home built th400 too with craigslist redneck 4000 stall,3.23 gear thanks for all the info
using a gen4 front cover and a LS2 trailblazer cam gear, you cut the wires on the msd box wiring harness and extend them to the front, and swap the outer wires.

yeah if you dump the exhaust up front it is pretty quiet, we have done it on a bunch of cars haha.

i used a 110 argon mig to weld the spiders.

yeah it can work just off the crank sensor if you set it up that way.

Maybe once the current project is done and runs 8's, I can do something like this. Don't want two cars to dump money into now.

no blow off valve, that is compressor surge.
exhaust comes off the turbo and strait out the fender. its about 3ft long.

its hard to say with the stalled auto but it is totally lit at 4k same as my friends truck with a 76mm...

it has tons of power at 3k partial throttle with boost, and i cant really use the stall much below that.

with the 2.73s if i roll on third gear at like 50 it really pushes the stall high like 4500
