1000 HP Stock Bottom End - Unleashed Performance Turbo C5
Made a few changes since the last thread. Added a FMIC and changed from a PTE 46mm wasegate, to a PTE 66mm wastegate for better boost control. Also switched from NGK TR6's to non-projected tip 7's. The Comp Oil-Less turbo now has over 4k miles on it, with 90% of those miles at 750+ rwhp. The factory engine in our '99 FRC C5 M6 is now at 117k. Factory stock: heads, head bolts, graphite gaskets, rod bolts, etc. The only internal mods are the custom cam, patriot gold valvesprings and pushrods, melling oil pump and LS2 timing chain. Still running E-85, 80lb injectors, twin 255lph walbro's in the tank, BAP, and Snow single nozzle meth kit. Again, this is my daily driver, but it's seen 17-18lbs of boost every day that I've driven it for the last 4,000 miles (all in the name of R&D of course).
Strapped it back on the dyno tonight to see if the FMIC and new WG helped at all. Apparently so. It laid down 840whp/845wtq. This was done on M/T 305/35/18 ET Streets, at 15lbs of air to keep them from spinning on the dyno. So I'm pretty comfortable estimating fwhp at 1000+. Not too bad for a high mileage, rear-mounted, daily driver. Best part is, it gets a little over 30mpg Hwy and averages 21 city on the E-85.
We do have a video of this dyno pull and I'll try to get it posted up as soon as possible. But for now, here's the graph:

I'll be posting up some info in the next few days on a couple more turbo LSx cars we're doing. One we just finished building is a bone stock 2010 SS Camaro M6 with a front mounted single T76 turbo (journal bearing). It made 605rwhp on 93 octane.
And the one you're really gonna like, is another 2010 SS M6 that we did a custom cam, LT's and tune, and made 478rwhp. And now we're building a twin rear mount Comp oil-less turbo kit for it. Using Comp 62/65's. Should be interesting.
Btw, I'm still just as anxious to see your build progress! So keep us posted!

Are you still running the 85mm MAF draw through? At what point will it become a restriction? Did you have to tune out the rich condition after a shift where metered air is being vented out the BOV?
thanks

As far as the BOV and un-metered air, I didn't end up having to adjust the tune for it. It runs great, even through the shifts. Though, to be honest, I'm not 100% certain why that is. <shrug>

Absolutely crazy numbers Rob!! I can't imagine what that thing will trap now in the 1/4. Since you hit 144mph on a slipping clutch and scaled back tune previously, I'm guessing you'll get close to a 148 or so... Insane
May have to meet ya down in BG Saturday to see it run if your heading down!

How?
Ok, so I haven't been on these boards nearly as much as I used to be but please tell me how can he be getting these numbers... I mean 840rwhp/845rwtq, that's crazy! I know relability is gone with these high numbers but what is considered a safe maximum number these days?
I thought I was pushing the limits with my D-1SC @ 556rwhp/485rwtq. Has the tuning come that far since I have been away or is it the setup?

about the 80lbs injectors being maxed out, you guys seem to be forgetting he is spray meth to it so that is helping out a lot.
