Because the downpipe goes right where the alternator was.

If you can find a buyer for your old K member it might cost you the same buying a new trubo k member as it would just buying the alt relocation kit.

I thought about that, but will probably just build a relocation kit myself for the alternator. I think my k member is either a spohn or umi. Its red is all I know. I already have the downpipe built around it so I will probably just go with it and relocate the alternator.

I made my own relocation at first and it sucked. I kept tossing belts. Then I bought the modular turbo one and had it on the car for a week before hurting the motor I then sold it and went back to the stock location

The first picture is how the downpipe turned out the first time. It hung really low and I wasnt happy with it. The others pictures are how it sits now.

Next is to work on the wastegate this weekend.

Thanks, I couldn't get in there and get a good shot of it. I will get try to get some decent shots of it next time I am under it. Lets just say I used some oval tubing with oval to 4" transitions and very carefully routed it.

Haven't updated in a while. Been busting butt on this thing and hope to have it fired up this weekend. The last couple of days have been spent plumbing the feed and drain lines to the turbo, mounting the scavenge pump for the turbo, making power steering lines, hanging the rest of the exhaust, spark plug wires, I have one charge pipe to modify and wire the scavenge pump and its ready to fire. I should have a startup video this weekend. Here is a pic till then, Josh
