Default Which is better for boost L33 or LQ4. S475 Turbo

I think I just sold my LM7 because I wanted to run either an L33 or LQ4.

It will be in a fox with a TH400 and S475 turbo. The turbo is a T6 Flange with a 1.1AR.

The engines cost the same so which would be best. Im afraid the turbo might choke the 6.0 slightly

edit: forgot to mention that I will be running an LS6 Intake and LS6 cam.

thanks

l33 weighs less, lq4 has more displacement

l33 10.1-1, lq4 9.4

what year lq4?

and how much power you looking to make? bigger motor youll have to run less boost obv for the same power level

Dont really have a power goal. 700 at the crank would be nice. LQ4 I found is an 02 if that makes any difference

2005+ engines have LS2 rods. That is what you want. The LS1 rods seem to bend around 600 to 650rwhp.

Pretty sure the cams are the same. I could be wrong, but my summit salesman said the cam I got for my 2001 block would work with my 2005 L33.

This,

Also, lets not forget that dville ran the s475 with an lq9 and went 120mph to the 1/8. Car ran great.

Im running an S475 on a 5.3 and with a powerglide and its instant boost on the street, however im having trouble on the brake(S). with that said, my cam is way off and my Converter is tight as a virgin...

I'll be driving it alot on the street and then taking it to the track a couple times a year.

Here are some pics

Here is the 5.3 in there

Everything is in mock up stage, it all needs to come out for paint (including the car)

Running big and little CCWs as well over cobra brakes.

Entire undercarriage was sandblasted and painted as well as all components. Rear gear is 3.08s and fuel system is A1000

I found an 06 6.0 recently for a good price. So my turbo is the Borg S475 with a T6 flange and 1.1 AR. Is this turbo too small for a 6.0? What kind of horsepower numbers would I be capped at?

Thanks

Kinda small really for a 6 liter. I would not have gone any smaller than a 92 on that. Heck, I went with a 92 on my 5.3 liter.

How can I tell if the 6.0 from 2004 has the later rods?
