Borg Warner turbo's Any opinions on Borg Warner turbo's? There seems to be a lot available so there may be a reason why. Does anyone know? |
i have a S380 with a billet wheel, and love it, and the 275 class on the east coast uses a S476r pretty frequent. those turbos are designed to be on 200k mile service life vehicles. |
theres alot available because they are cheap and they work |
^ what he said, good units, can be had brand new for good price's, and perform well (good sized exhaust wheel's/housings for big power.) |
ive had mine for over 3 years now and still runs perfect...$600 turbo ftw, and nothing like most of the ebay units |
I have had 2 and both have been great. |
Some people prefer Garrette. How do they compair? |
its all about size and efficiency. look at the compressor map of each and go from there |
Selling a s472, 1.00 hotside. Brand new in box! Pm me if interested. Also have the 60mm jgs wastegate to go with it. Bought both 2 months ago an now selling them for alot cheaper :( |
They are awesome, reliable, affordable turbo's and they flat out make power. Plenty of options too. I am a dealer for BW. |
Which models Borg Warner are you guys running (i.e. single turbo)? |
S472, S474, S480 seem very common. They are popular because they are affordable, have nice big turbines, and are seemingly bulletproof. |
thnaks, any leads on where to find them? Not finding even on ebay, I think the s480 only showed one result and about $1600? |
Forced inductions, boost lab, work.... they're everywhere. |
I bought mine from Reed at work turbochargers, very knowledgeable guy. I have used the s400 in 76 and 80mm |
Billet S383/92 turbine. |
Most popular seem to be the S400 chassis turbo's. |
