What's the best wideband for boosted application ? I did a few searches on here but they all seem to be a few years old. Mines not reading fast enought at wot! I was about to pull the trigger on a Innovate MTX Series but figured I better ask u guys first . Setup is a 01 camaro 416 ci with a d1sc. Around 12 lbs |
I personally like the AFX with the NGK sensor. |
I have a 3 pod pillar so I just need a good replacement for my existing air/fuel. Afx would not work |
I bought the innovate mtx and have been happy with it. It's relatively cheap and hasn't let me down yet. |

Ive used both Innovative and Dynojet with no problems. Im looking at maybe getting the AEM unit for my current project. |

this. speedhut has a gauge that allows you to use a 2 1/16" gauge with this setup instead of the bar that comes with it. |
AEM here. A bit pricey but its been working well and has some good feedback |
AEM here as well, it was right on with the dyno jet unit in the exhaust pipe at the tuner. No problems here. |
FJO is one of the best, i've installed and used many of them and never had an issue. I believe they were bought by Holley now so they are available with the holley name on them. Same quality though from what i've seen. This unit is available with either the bosch or ntk o2 sensor. ntk is good for methanol users because it will read down to a richer afr than the bosch sensors. The Ntk also lasts a lot longer. Aem's digital wideband gauge is good if you are just looking for a simple cheap wideband gauge. They use the readily available bosch lsu 4.2 sensors also, which are fairly inexpensive. The innovates will work but i have had a few quality issues with them in the past and they also use an older bosch sensor. |
What about the Prosport wideband? It uses the bosch 4.9 sensor and its pretty cheap. |
Innovate MTX-L here, cheap and works great. Think I paid 165 shipped. |
Turns out that analog output on the NGK AFX is 0-5 volts. That guage from speedhut is setup to read 0-5 volts so theoretically you buy the NGK like me and dislike the box deal it reads out with you can just buy that guage and hook it up to the analog output on the NGK and it will then run a normal 2-1/16 guage |
Thanks or the input . I'll b checking into all these and get one ordered today |
I've go the AEM as well. I like it, but I need to get a second wideband to compare the setup because what HPTuners records is about 0.3 leaner than what the gauge reads. I split the difference and manually corrected the value in HPtuners to be a little more accurate. |
What model AEM r y'all running? I'm not sure on which model I have but it's a older AEM and at wot it just blinks trying to read (very slow) my car will b back on dyno soon so I want a new one to compare |
|
I'm also running the AEM UEGO. Been using it for almost 5 years in two different setups. Only problem I've had is the o2 sensor went bad on me, but replaced it and all is well. |
