Thanks guys. Jelous of the impala and ctsv those are two cars i always wanted for a daily. Instead my girlfriend took my car and I'm stuck with a beater truck lol. With that 408 i would probably do gt45's like sarg said. With the right cam i think they will spool good. The on3 65mm turbine would need atleast a .81 ar housing on that motor to keep back pressure to a minimum

You should have plenty of time to work on the truck with that 6-9" of snow you're suppose to get tomorrow. I think we're suppose to get a inch or so.

Just got home this morning from a 27 hour road trip down to Florida from Atlanta and got my wife a 2005 CTS-V. Super happy with it. It is definitely a very cool vehicle.

Bone stock and likely to stay that way, lol. Oh she got it financed and will do the payments and everything herself. I just found it for her and helped drive down and back to retrieve it.

got some more stuff in the mail.

driver side header welded. took about 8 hours to do since we had to go around the steering and then we had to take the brake booster out and mount the master cylinder directly to the firewall

then we finished the passenger header today. only took a couple hours to do. still needs to be wrapped

didnt turn out too bad for my first built headers

i would have got some more stuff done but the girlfriend was anxcious to leave the house so i had to wrap it up at that for today. tomorrow after work if my walbro 255 comes ill be finishing the fuel system, fabbing up the radiator support and putting the radiator in, putting the harness back in, and a few other putsy things.

Damn man, I reallyhad it easy in my chevelle. I see all these crazy set ups. lol I would have lost my mind trying to fit that around the steering shaft. Now here is a stupid question. But if the brake booster will work on my car I would be interested in buying it off you. I have room for one. I have disc up front and factory drum in the back. It is hard as hell to get my **** to stop right now. A couple times I misjudged the cars on the highway and when I let off I still had to swerve to the shoulder.

lol i wish i would have kept my cutlass and put this setup in that. its a pain in the *** to work around that steering shaft and it took alot of time and cutting and fitting to work. if i ever need to take the header off now i need to take the steering shaft off too lol. i had the booster in my old setup and it didnt seem to work even with 20" vac. i had to cut it up in order to mount my master cylinder to the firewall. it would have worked in your chevelle i think but the booster was junk anyway haha. i know what you mean about the brakes though driving in town sometimes i forgot i couldnt stop that fast so i had to slam on the brakes in order to stop so i didnt rear end someone

Man those headers look great! Nice job! Reminds me of me haha

Are you using solid engine mounts? I'm very curious how you are going to plumb wastegates, turbo locations, intercooler, piping all under that hood.

I'm sure you will figure it out and look forward to more progress pics

Thanks man they definitely took a long time to make lol. I have current performance poly mounts but the motor barely moves. Yeah is going to be tough fitting it all in but a welder can do anything lol. I'll get my turbos and everything else in a few weeks

I understand that. Did a great job on the headers espcially using a mig. Next build I do I'm gonna invest in a tig for sure.

Yeah I was just wondering how much your engine moves, I have poly mounts aswell and the motor still moves around a little. Didn't want you to go WOT and then find out your master cylinder broke haha. Definelty watching your build, good stuff man.
