Sounds like your belt tensioner is in good shape! I think the main case for this issue is a worn out tensioner.

Got some more parts in.

BOV.

Intercooler.

Wired up the gauges. Also wired up the MTX WB to be logged through HP Tuners.

The parts are starting to pile up

I've been out of town for the past month due to work but next week I'll start working on the car again. I decided to upgrade my turbo to the new Turbonetics 7875 which is a little over kill for my current power goals, but it will give me plenty of room to grow in the future. I also have a set of 317's I'm going to slap on the car and then it will be off to the dyno. I hope to have everything finished by the end of April. At this point I just want to drive it and enjoy it.

I'm using the old drain from when the blower was on the car. There's a picture of it on the first page. On the turbo I have a flange with a 90 degree screw in bend from Turbonetics. This will exit a little higher than the drain in the pan. Then I plan on using some 1/2" oil rated hose and some hose clamps. Nice and simple

Some parts.

LS9 gaskets.

T7875.

Merge pipe and wastegate.

This is about as far as I got tonight. I thought I had all of the coolant out of the engine but as soon as I pulled the head even more came gushing out. It made a huge mess so I decided to call it a night.

Still waiting on head studs and valve springs to come in the mail. Hopefully tomorrow I can pull the other head and clean all of the old gasket crap off.

I picked up a set of Alper Motorsport head studs. They seem pretty nice. I just recieved a set of SLR lifters, LS2 trays, and trunion upgrade in the mail today. Still need to clean the passenger side of the block...graphite head gaskets suck. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some work done.

317's.

Why not use a set of 706s
Do u have a pic of your stock steam tube?
I need to see if its the same as mine.
My ls6 intake smashes the tube and wont allow it to seat.

Yeah you need to grind the ribs off of the bottom of the intake for it to clear the steam tube. Believe the 317's have a big combustion chamber, so it lowers the compression ratio so you can run more boost. Hope that answers your questions.

Finally had a chance to work on the car this weekend.

Traded in the S10 for a Silverado.

Installed some valve springs. Pac 1218's.

Studs and gaskets.

317's bolted down.

I trimmed the stud on the passenger side manifold to clear the k-member. Then I decided to remove it and it didn't want to come out. So I drilled. And 6 drill bits later I had a hole that went through half of the original bolt and the other half went through the manifold Luckly I was able it fit a smaller bolt through the hole and it still aligned with the gasket. I didn't take any pictures because I'm still trying to forget about it...

The only way I could trighten the rear bolt on the flange is with the compressor cover off.

Intercooler brackets.

I'm not sure how I feel about this oil drain. I'd rather not have it make a 90 degree turn.

It's going from the brass looking fitting to the black hose thats capped off.

Test fitting the piping.

I should have the rest of the parts in this week and hopefully get it started soon. Decided to upgrade the clutch disc to a stage 3 as well.
