And back to the dash, I'm looking for another one as well, the last cage done in my car is less than stellar and there are holes on both sides of the dash, along with other flaws too. My search has been less than rewarding to say the least. Dealerships can still get them, mine quoted me $900 for one. As stupid as it may sound if i can't find a suitable replacement i'll buy it and swap them out with the on in my wife's WS6. Hers is still in great shape and would look good in my car, thats a lot of work for a dash though....haha

Ya I hear yeah there, Brian's car is even better in person! I got a great look at it in bowling green just after it was done. I've been looking at Cleveland pick a part they are in about the $250 range. I originally wanted a glasstek fiberglass but alot of class say stock dash then limit the fiberglass to the hood, rear hatch and front and read bumpers, so I decided to search down a oem dash. Is the cage in your car now not 8.5 cert cage?

It is 8.50 cert now, but its mild steel and the last time i hit a scale with my car it was over 3500lbs. I just can't have that much weight, and I've never done body work so i refuse to cut on my own car, I've had this car since 03......it's time for a really good/solid looking and performing deal!

Haha ya I was like that with my Trans am! Killed me to cut it up but in the end was worth it. My camaro has Eric's mild steel 8.5 cage, I had a local guy install it though. Hoping my car can weigh close to 3300-3350 once done without me in it. Chromoly would of been nice but I'm trying to keep my on a strict budget and I'm a long way for breaking out of a 8.5 cert cage lol if the car ever needs a 25.3 cert cage ill be trailering it down to Eric!

Did some work today, got the front end apart. Then went and stole a buddies cherry picker and went to work on the transmission removal. Glad my buddy Vinnie was there to help me tonight, made life easy. My garage is a disaster, i need some parts shelves or something!

Well i didn't do as much as i wanted to today, but there isn't a single wire left in the car now
I did get ahold of Eric at Midwest Chassis and scheduled my car to go there the first week of march. 8.50 cert cage, new windshield (lexan), Cowl cut back and firewall redone, strut towers tied to cage bars, and removeable front end. Should be really nice when done and hopefully will bring the weight down where its needed.

Engine is out!! and ****...windshield was damaged. Good thing i got some speed glass going in or i would be really upset today.
I'm going to go to the dealership and get all new gaskets for the 408 and make sure it's all sealed up tight before it goes in wifey's car!

Alright, well everything is out of the car, all I have left to do is get the windshield out, and grind down where the cage used to be. Then it'll be all ready to go see Eric @ Midwest Chassis for some cool stuff!!
I called AES yesterday and i should have my short block in a week or two, heads are still going to be a ways out, but should be great when i get them. I still don't know what camshaft or intake i'll be using, but it'll probably be a Vic Jr unless i get brave and buy the Mast intake....doubtfull though.
Moose-Moose was very tired from all of that cutting we did!

Was that a wolfe bolt in, you added the front bars? erics stuff is gona be alot nicer to work on the car, thous front bars looked right in the way.
How much more time till it gose to erics? if you want to put the time in, you have 10 easy spots of 5-10#s doing nothing, or in the way. over 150#s for free.
cars looking good!
