First start!
The motor finally made some noise. It ran for only a short period of time because of VATS (anti-theft) and it is missing many sensors (MAF, MAP, IAT, O2 Sensor, Knock)

Working on the alternator/bracket today so when I get this thing started for good it won't drain my battery.

More pictures to come!

Stock driveshaft and yoke.
I'm thinking conversion u joint and TH400 yoke = profit.
TH400 yoke will be slightly longer

I believe I've got the same radiator, if you don't mind me asking what hoses are you using as far as upper and lower. Like the build pretty cool stuff.

I used two hoses I had sitting around.

Top Hose: 21160 Gates
Bottom Hose: 15769077 Gates
Bypass Hose: 87629 Dayco
Belt: 4060705 Goodyear (70.5" 6PK7090)

I had to cut them to make them work and took a little elbow grease to get the bottom radiator port on.

I believe the bottom hose came with the motor. The top came from my brothers Pontiac Bonneville SSEI

Looks good!

I’m told you don’t’ want to loop the coolant hoses like that. Your looping the high side and low side of the coolant system that way. Makes for poor flow. I’d stuff something in the hose to block fluid flow for an easy fix. Or plug each port individually…. Then get with the burnout footage!

I figured that would be no different than running a heatercore? I would much rather pull the barbs out and plug it for looks and cleanliness though!

Burnout videos soon!

There is more of a pressure differential across the heater core than a looped hose.

I've never played with vehicle that came with an Lsx engine before. But if the heater is off do LS platforms constantly circulate coolant through the core? Or is it blocked off? Either way if you read up on the LS cooling system several articles I've read say it's not a good idea.
