Well that 292 was the very first dyno so he had the timing pulled and kinda rich plus it had to suck the air from the rear. Ya with just an ls6 cam, ls1 intake and heads on the previous stock engine it made 320 whp and ran a 13.2@102 with a 1.97 60'. Car looks nice, I want to get some good videos of it running when I get it moving good. I've got more plans than I have money.

Alright the old ten bolt took a crap and I've got a 9" on the way. I'm now looking for gear selection. It had 3.42s and would pull harder in third gear than first or second. I'm thinking about going 3.00 to load up this big turbo and try to get first gear to pull like third. I'm running a 315/35-17 drag radial which I think is around 25-26" tall. I don't want to go too tall on the gears though. Any real world suggestions?

I used 2.5" piping cuz I had a lot of bends that size already laying around. I'm not sure on the check valve part number, but it was from summit racing and cost about $50. This build wasn't what I really wanted to do but it's all my wallet would let me do at the time. To do it all over again I'd do a front mount, just to not deal with all of the oiling mess and ground clearance.
I did have some time on my hands this winter so I decided to clean up the engine bay some and try to make the exhaust flow a little better. The mid length headers I'm using, use the same flange as the 00-02 cars and was being very restrictive. Without cutting them off and using vbands, I decided to cut opening out some. Went from about a 2" hole to a 2 1/2" opening on each header. Haven't got to run it yet but I'm betting it's going to help a bunch.
I then got to move the battery to the trunk for this falls twin build. Installed a battery switch in its place along with a catch can. The only thing left now before it's back in the road is to install the 9" rear. Hoping this will make it almost bullet proof for the summer.
