Ill Gladly do 2.5 if it makes more power as it costs less money, but I cant see how stepping down my exahust from a 3'' outlet to a 2.5'' will make it more efficient. TO me seems like your introducing a bottleneck. I dont have time to read all that stuff posted right now, but if I get a chance I may. Remember though, this is not a street vehicle at all, but the Turbo will have to spool all on its own, I cant use any other devices to aid in spool either. Im no expert, so I do take the time to listen and learn, but at the same time, I didnt make this thread for advice, merely pics of 3" Merges for ideas.

As post already, a t6 flange is smaller than two 3" pipes so it will have to bottleneck down to a t6 regardless. T6 = two 2.5" pipes. Nothing more to it.

We get along just fine I thought.

If you have time, look at and measure the cross section of the exhaust port and the throat on the turbo. Your crossover or merge are not the bottleneck even with the smallest sizes listed.

If your doing a single 3" into the turbo, cone engineering makes a nice 2 - 1(dual 2 or dual 2.5 into a single 3" collector).

Turbo setups are about velocity before the turbine. Large pipes != velocity. The smaller pipes will create more velocity which will make boost quicker down bottom. The wastegates will regulate drive pressure on the top. Its all about getting the boost online faster. The top end is going to be the same.

You have the time to reply, but not read what has been posted. In the title it says advice, we are all trying to offer advice and HELP you. Phil knows what he is talking about, search his car on here. I am somewhat new to turbos, but when he or some of these other guys talk I listen.

This guy dont want to listen. Why would u even post a thread if your not going to take advice. And i guess phils car is not a good example why you dont need 3 inch crossover.

I could probably use a 2.75" pipes with methanol but so far testing says at 3020# and 2.5" it makes enough power to go 173-175 to the 1/8 mile , e plan on turning the boost up alittle combined with some other changes *think* 180-182mph to the 1/8 is doable with the 2.5" setup.

On turbos, its about getting the exhaust to the turbo/s as efficiently as possible(sizing the pipes according to velocity) post turbine bigger is better. My setup has twin 4" downpipes and 2 external 2.25" wastegates. Headers are 2" but should be 1 7/8". Crossover is 2.5" to a 3.5" into the turbo. Combo was spec'd using 8400rpms 88-91%ve 40# of boost.

I read your thread Phil.....Im seeing your point...Still deosnt change me wanting pictures of merges, I can still change sizing, Im just looking to see how guys have done them. Even if I go 2.5'', which I may now after reading a bit, Im still merging to an undivided T6 flange.

Cone engineering.com for a collector
Use 3" of straight tube before the turbo put an elbow on it
Try to equalize the 2 banks in length shorter is better
Double wrap the pipes
