Great build and great documentation. I am in the process of a C6 build myself and its nice to see this. I wish I had the patience to document mine so well. Did I thank you for inspiring me ? I ordered almost the same wheel setup you are running. Those pics of your car are just awesome.
Looking forward to see the final results... keep up the great work.

Thanks

The weld RTS's are popping up on vettes everywhere now... it's a great wheel option to get some decent tire under the car.

Not to participate in your thread jack .... but.... I just recieved my engine. I will slowly put things together over the next month. No rush as there is snow on the ground here. I overbuilt the engine thinking something different next year but want to max out that eforce first, to see what it can do.

Could you teel me how the fuel system works a little more? Are there 3 pumps all together (1 in each tank, and the MP4303) or what?

The stock system has a pump in each tank. The passenger pump just moves fuel over to the driver side tank, and the driver side pump feeds the rail. I tapped into the stock in tank pump on the driver side and it Y's into the -8 feed line to the rail. This runs solo under 4 psi, just like stock pretty much. Above 4psi the magnafuel 750 turns on and both the stock in tank pump and the external feed the rail. Then I have some short runs connecting the regulator return to the stock feed hard line, and to the tank return bulkhead. Should keep the fuel cooler and not need a pump controller.

Extremely nice build and very well documented. How long did it take you from when you started to where you are now?

First pic on the rack is 12/4/12

I lost about ~3 weeks ditching the ls3 heads and buying the lsa from summit (back order, plus they sent me 1 ls3 by accident). Then I decided to port them.

The goal is tx2k, so the work schedule has flexed with that as the deadline.

swapped the front shocks... DRM valved Bilsteins all around:

reinstalled the shifter assembly and interior:

added fluids

Also installed the tunnel plate, headers, spark plugs and coil wires.

Soooo close... looks like it'll be good to go for first start next Saturday for sure. Hopefully all the snow up in KC has melted by then so I can take it for a quick drive too.

Finished installing the exhaust and went over everything one last time.

I cranked it over a few times with the fuel pump relay pulled and the coils disconnected and everything seemed to turn over fine.

I plugged the relay back in and turned the key on and the stock fuel pump primed and the gas gauge registered the 5 gallons I added, so that was good.

I also jumped the connections on the Hobbs switch to test that the magnafuel external ran, and it turned on as expected as well.

My tuner should have a base tune ready for me in the next few days to fire it up with.
