I'm looking into getting this kit as well and I'm just wondering if all over the tubing fit in the car without getting a k-member. Also, it looks like you used the stock manifolds and just put some covers on them, I'm guessing the kit doesn't come with manifolds? I'm just getting as much information as I can so I can get all the parts together. Thanks guys

So with this kit and the upgraded 88mm turbo option, on a SBE LS1 with a custom cam, how much power do you think it would make? 800 rwhp possible?

Youll make more than a sbe ls1 can handle haha. When it comes to boosted stuff you can make as much hp as the turbo flows without floating the valves.

I know some minor modification needs to be done to get the On3 88mm turbo to fit, but from what they said, it's pretty minor. As far as the hot and cold side piping, there is no restriction there, correct?

The 2.5" piping crossover is more than big enough, without being too big. To get more clearance on this kit you could always stand up the radiator too. I dont think the on3 88mm turbo is out yet, but that may be a tad on the larger side for a streetcar with a 347 with an m6. Best bet would be have someone like martin at tick or lil john to spec you out a cam/turbo. The heart of a turbo car is the turbo that largely dictates the rest of the set up.

Aside from the 88mm option, which is available according to what On3 told me, which of the turbos on their website would have the most power potential?

Probably their 76mm but its limited as the exhaust wheel is only 65-66mm I think. It will spool fast but itll be choking you on the top end so youll need to run a large ar exhaust housing. Youll make at most 650-700 on that turbo but your displacement will keep it from being as efficient as it could be. For a 5.7 something like a turbonetics 7875 or a precision 76/75 would be nicer as its got a 75mm exhaust wheel so itll carry power further into the rpm range without running a big ar housing hurting spool time. Those turbos maxed out will get you 700-800+ and will spool pretty well with an m6 and appropriate cam.

On an m6 car that 88 is gonna need a two step to spool well for launching under boost, imo you need an auto trans to make a good street car for a larger turbo.

Thanks for the post. Very helpful information there. I don't know much about turbos, so still trying to learn. Sounds like the 7875 or Percision 76/75 is the ticket. Being on a stock bottom end, 700 to 800 is all I'd want anyway, and that's probably pushing it for my stock bottom end. I assume the On3 kit will accept either of those turbos?

Would that turbo work good on a SBE LS1 M6 car? What's the power potential of that turbo with your kit?

Its going to work just as well as the other 2 turbos being discussed to use in the previous posts, 7675 and 7875. Its an 800+ wheel option, we have guys already in the 720-730wheel range with just the 7665 option

What is the price of your turbo out right? Also what are the specs on both the compressor and turbine side?

Physically is it much larger then the 76 on3 turbo on the compressor side?

Too bad that wasnt available 6 months ago or Id have gotten that. The sbe ls1 is the weakest of the stock bottom ends, make sure to run e85 or meth injection with 93 to help it live. Youre safe to about 600whp reliably other have gone higher but the tune needs to be spot on. Any hint of detonation on any motor is gonna end badly with boost in a short time.

Ah finally. Link to full specs? Or could you add them? What A/R will the turbo be?

I've got one customer that made 800rwhp with one of the On3 76mm turbochargers.

It did not have the 75mm turbine wheel, it had the smaller turbine wheel.

It was on E85, had 10:1 compression, stock heads and stock intake. Had a very unique custom grind with 12 degrees of intake to exhaust duration split and 0 degrees overlap.

I have not seen one make more power than his. It almost made as much torque as it did rwhp.
