So i have a forged lq4 w/ a f1 procharger that i put in this winter and i have put about 1000 miles on it since the break in ( 620rwhp thanks to slowhalk in MA) and i have been checking all the fluids and everything looks good so far. Was thinking about doing a oil change soonish and was going to cut the oil filter open and make sure there are no shaving before i put in the new stuff. Now i know there is a lot of controversy on what oil to use i think im going w/ valvoline VR1 0/30 or rotella (bc its cheaper and change it ever 1000 miles) and is it worth going w/ the synthetic or not??

How ofter do y'all change the procharger oil (heard ever other oil change 2 or 3K??)
**is there any other maintenance i should do at this time my first FI Car

Don't be too alarmed if you cut open the oil filter and find some shavings in there, as this is a fresh engine. Everyone has their favorite oil but I recommend using synthetic, Mobil 1 is easy to find at most auto stores.

The first oil change in the ProCharger head unit should be done at 500 miles, after that every 6000 miles. Bob

Mobil 1 will take care of your engine good I agree with Bob's post. Always make sure there is no signs of burning oil.

its not a new head unit so i think i will give it one at 1000 witch is now and then do it ever six that way i have a regular maintenance schedule.

but nothing different beyond that???

ill change the oil ever time i take it to the track but beyond that ill just keep checking everything and keep the fluids clean
