Default Baddest small-size T4 turbo out there? Want to upgrade my TC78

Whatever I read, everyone says TC78 (68mm turbine wheel) is way too small on 383ci. I'm trapping 128mph now at 3950lbs, 14psi boost. I'm sure there's few mph to be had out of my combo but still.
Is there anything that is similar in diameter to TC78? My compressor cover is only 0.5" away from the crank pulley.
I've learned that PT7675 is about 0.6" larger diameter so should fit, but is there anything better nowadays?
Also read that Comp CT 43 and PT8847 are of similar size

yes but it's still only 75mm turbo which from what I gathered is small for 383ci

The PT7675 would be the best upgrade. A larger turbine would be nice, but if you don't have the space you don't have the space.

I have plenty of hot side space with TC78, it's compressor cover that is 0.5" in front of crank pulley
Damn, I bought TC78 and built pipes for it back when I was M6 and spool was important and 800HP seemed more than enough... This HP bug never stops eating me ))

I run a PT7675 on my 383, think its gonna be one of the best small frame T4 turbos you can find.

What about the Comp line of turbos? they have a 75/79, 78/79, 80/79. No idea the physical size though.

I read that PT 8847 has same compressor cover (about 8" diameter) but has much larger hot side and modern wheels. Is that's so, it looks much much better than PT 7675. Or am I talking BS?

Yes, Comp turbos also, CT 43 series is compact, with turbo wheel up to 79mm. I wonder how it performs compared to PT 7675?

Post pics of how much room you have, any borgwarner turbo can be had in a t4 frame, just run stock cover and small AR to keep size down. A t4 bw in the price range of a pt7675 will kill it in terms of power

A T4 Borg is twice the size of a PT7675. I had a stock S475 that had a shipping weight of 46lbs or something close to that and the PT7675 weighs 19lbs.

I have been looking at the FP HTA GT4205 journal bearing version. Forced performance makes awesome turbos. This has a 82 or 83mm turbine wheel too. On sale right now as well. I want to try it to do something different.

Pt7675 is by far the most proven. If you can fit a pt88 that would be great. I run a midsize comp ct5/ct43 hybrid with an 88m comp wheel and 94/88 turbine. Its about the same size as the pt88 and replaced mytc78. Major upgraded, just had to make a 4 inch dp. Back pressure is half of the tc78,made 835whp through locked 4l65e and 9 inch on 19psi.

But if you don't want to mess with anything go pt76/75.

If I can fit PT7675 then I can fit PT8847 too, they have the same comp covers, I just will have to make slightly more bended downpipe cause PT88 is longer.

itsslow98, still only 75mm turbo wheel...
