so, NMCA has cancelled MEAN STREET It was a fun class and enjoyed giving the ford guys a hard time.
Oh well guess its time to find somewhere eles to race. Always like the idea of mild,but wild,N/A smallblocks. Changed class to N/A Limited(not very limited but thats the new name). Not wanting to build another N/A combo, so i'm thinkin Ultra Street.
It will be a huge learning curve, but should be a good time. Plus they run Ultra at Milan once a month(milan is my local track).
Not looking to set the world on fire just wanting to build a good 5.20-5.30 combo.
Going to put the 5.3 in for now w/ a s480, thought about the 475 but leaning towords the 80.
I'm not sure this combo will go 5.30's(@3200lbs), but it will get me to the race track to start the learning curve.
What combo is in the future?
Build a 388(3.928borex4.0), or a 352(3.928borex3.622), or just throw some rods and piston at the 5.3. Could also bore 5.3 to 3.905 and use a set of piston i already have.
