370 or 347 for TT BW S300's?
 

Planning my build for the near future. I realized I don't have room for the DP a big single would require so I'm looking at twin BW's. I can either do a forged 347 or 370 and want to know what set of BW's would work best for my goal of 900-1000 WHP. Car is primarily being built for the track, but want it to spool quick on the street as well. I figured the 370 with the S366's would be the best option, but not sure if the 370 would be too much motor for them. Any help is appreciated. Details on the build:

S366s are big enough for a 400ci at 7000rpm so you wont have any problems.

im doing 366s on a 370 soon

Awesome, sounds like a stout combo to me and that's what I'm leaning toward as well. What made me wonder if the 370 was to big for those turbos, was seeing Silver_82 run mid 8's on a 5.3 with the same turbos.

why not just punch it out alittle more to a 383?

there are a few options for A/R sizes as well

370 is our vote!

Question for the general public, is there anything wrong with staying smaller cubes, (347 LS1) on a 76mm/91AR front mount car? I could punch my aluminum block out to 383 or so, but I feel that maybe for strength, leave it at forged 347? Goal is pretty high hp, street car.

Any feedback appreciated..

I've heard most reputable shops claim that the 370 is a great choice for a FI build because it uses the stock stroke (ideal for FI), shorter stroke than a 383. Plus, I can meet my goal with a 370, don't plan on going any bigger.

If you look at the sticky up top of fastest 1/4 mile times, one dude in top 10 runs a 347. Lots of power can be made with a 4.8/5.3 or 5.7

Yea I've seen that they can make gobs of power even with less c.i.

Do you think my 5.7 aluminum block honed with a nice rotating assembly is a good platform for 800-1000whp?

Why not just buy my 383 already done up for a 1000 HP turbo setup? PM me if interested.

370ci gets my vote also. Along with some twin 6766s.

those 6766's would be awesome, just too much for my budget. How do you think the BW 6366's would work with the 370?

Hmmm just looked over your FS thread and it sounds like a nicely set up long block. What's your CR with those 72cc heads? The only other thing I don't like is its an aluminum block.

Those turbos will not be too small. And do go with the 370. Your cam and heads will decide the power it will make. So do your research.

Smaller BW 6368 turbine wheel should make for much better spool over the 6673's

Although you can get FI or others to build you the 366's with a 68mm turbine as opposed to the 73mm anyway

Price is barely any different than the base 366 anyway. Or for a little extra, throw in a billet 66mm wheel

Definitely getting a cam from Martin @ Tick. Heads will be nothing special, touched up 243 or 799 most likely.

They will work great also. Better spool reaction soo thats a plus. Get a cam from Martin and you wont be dissapointed with them.

For 1000hp, the AGP turbo RS261 might be an option, physically smaller than the 300's and with better housing options. It's based on the S200 BW's

Or the BW 62mm FMW. Or cheaper version is I guess the S300 6368

370 all the way.
