i have a 04 5.3l and a 60e coming out of this truck and i figure ill do a super budget all motor setup and document what it cost.

re use and cut down the stock driveshaft, re use the radiator, use the stock rear, etc just get it running as cheap as possible and see how cheap it really is, then decide from there, always wanted to mess with an all motor one and see what i can do, since i go strait to turbo and **** right away.

would be cool to make one the other way around once.

todays adventures, truck 2ft up on jackstands, methanol kit installed, 60e out, 80e in, crossmember modded/installed, fuel pump installed/tested, trans lines done, driveshaft getting dropped off at associated, and we even delivered the LS1 and t56 to its new owner, all before 5pm

plasma cut off the stock mount, flipped the crossmember, welded it on flipped and it fit perfect, like it was meant to be haha

Lucky you. The 99s had the flush crossmember. My 03 looks like garbage with the 80e crossmember mod. That one looks nice.

oh here is a neat tip, we used a stepper bit on the dowel holes on the trans, they are usually super tight and can be a bitch to line up when installing the trans, just stepped the first part of the opening a little left the back snug and tight, this trans dropped right in there

How's doing that 80e swap with jack stands? Also I may have missed it but what stall is that converter? Multi disk? And how's the drivability with that converter?
