Default Which bmr k member for DIY front mount?

Going to start collecting parts for a turbo build this winter. I was going to to do a front bumper exit down pipe and use the stock k member but doesn't look possible while keeping ac using a c6/truck manifold set up.

So question is use the standard turbo k member or the newer 'low mount' turbo k member? I figure if I'm going to buy a k member then ill plum in a dump off the down pipe and run a full car back for the streets.

Any thoughts?

I have the standard BMR K member with two 3" downpipes going through the passenger side. How big a down pipe are you planning on running?

The best option if you are looking for the most room.

^ that's one I'm leaning towards. Just wast sure if there was any reason the c6/truck manifold combo wouldn't work with this design.

if you are looking for extra downpipe room and more room in the manifold/motor mount area out Low Mount Turbo K Member (KM019) is your best bet.

and if price is making the decision tough, you may want to order this the weekend after thanksgiving

Ya it looks like a great option. Guess not many people have used them yet since it's so new. Guess I'll wait till that Friday order! Any hints to the sale?

Is the bmr the exact same as the dkt? It looks like the bmr the bar that goes from the top mount to te rear lower control arm bolt is straight but the dkt pic it looks like it's swept like the front one or is it just the pic?

After talking with bmr today it sounds like the standard turbo k member will be better for my build. Those rear bars I was talking about would be getting in the way if my down pipe.

I tried gettig ahold of dkt to ask some questions but got no answer and no reply.

The MWC k-members will accept a 5" DP, include engine stands and steering mounts. Mild steel versions are only 23 pounds and best yet the price is only 375.00!

We have had guys run as big as a 5" down pipe down either side of the engine with our regular BMR turbo k-member (KM013) so it should pretty accommodate anything he wants to do.

BMR turbo k-member (KM013)
