ITS ALIVE we'll sort of

well when I got home from work and decided to get the new convertor in the car . finished that up and decided that sence it was a fresh engine that I wanted to crank it and see how the starter sounded as well as see if it will build any oil pressure . I really didn't want it to start as it is a microsquirt 3 and I havnt even hooked the laptop to it yet so I turned the key on to check the 044 fuel pump and it was returning a good amount from the return so it must be up to pressure . well knowing damn well I wanted to pull the micro fuse I got cought up in the fuel system checks and forgot and started cranking it it cranked a good 10 seconds and started I couldn't believe it I actually turned it of surprised. but I had to start it again it started up ran smooth filled the lifters and held 50+ psi oil pressure turned it off after about 20 - 30 seconds and looked for leaks all is good . I try to start it one more time but it whouldnt start again. but without setting the sencors at all I don't want to push it so that's all I get until I buy a wideband and set the thing up right.

but It sure got me motivated to get it driving.

Sweet. I love it when a car accidentally starts! You are gonna love the auto tune feature.

Awesome Mike. Thats great. At least you know it is holding some good oil psi. Hopefully everything else goes smooth.

Funny! Good to know the op is fine! Way behind you, but I won't get snowed in!

thanks.

I used assembily lube on everything but just where it was needed and some of it was brake cleaned and I don't want it to rust sitting . i oiled the oilpump but was reading about how some don't prime up to well and that was eating me thinking about it. so no gas leaks, no oil leaks so far and running on all 8 i cant complain.

now if i get the downpipe finished and buy a wideband i can start tuning. thanks.
