I just bought a som ta. I am also looking into twin turbo. I am glad I have this for a reference to look at. I know I brought it up before you should bring it out to Pontiac Nationals in August at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. Great show. I am going to enjoy mine being stock till next winter and then having some fun with a build.

We have been pretty fortunate with weather so far this winter. I was able to take the car for a quick spin on Thanksgiving morning. But ever since then, it is back to its winter position:
I did some minor Black Friday shopping. I bought a engine diaper from Motion Raceworks. Figured this was long overdue and will be good for the safety aspect:
Was in Indy last weekend for the PRI show. Ended up buying one item there, in the safety category as well. Was looking at HANS devices last year but never ended up buying one. I am hoping this never comes into affect, but figure it is good to be wearing one.
Necksgen just came out with their new Rev 2 Lite. They were running a small show special so I bought one. Another safety item I overlooked in the past but figured it was a good piece to have.
Their booth was hopping all weekend. I'm sure they sold quite a few of these. Very lightweight. PRI was awesome to be able to see all of the stuff the vendors brought. Also neat to see the celebrities running around and also to put some faces with some names I have worked with in the past. Very cool event.

Winter Upgrade:
I ended up buying a new puller for the Trans Am. I bought a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate for my new daily and to pull my car around. Crew Cab Short Box in Stone Blue with the 6.2L.
I flew to Laura GMC in the St. Louis area to pick up the truck (saved some good money).
When I arrived, it had 11 miles on it. I went for a quick test drive and snapped a photo with 13 miles on it.
I knew I was going to be driving through bad weather, or I would have had them do additional cleaning. The weather forecast called for 6-8" of snow at home.
I hit the road and didn't get much out of St. Louis before the traffic was at a crawl. Sure enough, glare ice. I ran across 4-5 rollovers, semis jackknifed, and also an area where trucks were driving in the median and pulling semis up hills. It made for a long first hour and a half.
About 50 miles North of St. Louis, the roads cleared up. I was able to move at a decent clip. It was snowing, but nothing horrible. I passed a town about 80 miles from home, and the rest of the way was a 2 lane road, completely covered with snow, and some blowing snow. Made for an interesting finally.
I stopped by the scale just to see what it weighed (1/2 tank of fuel):
From there, I went to a buddy's house to show him the new ride. He started laughing and said to take a look at the front of the truck. Sure enough, I drove through Winter!!!
Got home and had 491 miles on the odometer. Just a small 480 mile trip through crap.
I locked the truck in 4 High when traffic was at a crawl by St. Louis. At that time, I reset the trip meter. 440 miles in 4 High and ended up getting 21.3MPG. I was quite impressed.
Not a bad maiden voyage.
Hoping to get some of the accessories on it this weekend. Tonneau cover, mud flaps, weather floor mats, Front and Rear GMC emblem overlays, and a catch can.
I am extremely happy with the truck and can't wait to find out more about some of the feature. Need it to warm up a bit to get it cleaned back up!

Not a whole is new. Just making my way through winter.
Spent a little time to get the Necksgen helmet hardware installed. Ended up being pretty simple.
I also called Menscer Motorsports today to discuss front coilovers for my car. I ended up buying new front and rears. Can't wait to get those here. I figured minor upgrades this winter wouldn't be too bad.
Will be removing my Viking Coilovers and selling those once the Menscer's come in. Feel free to PM with reasonable offers if interested. Will be posted in the for sale section officially when I get them off the car.
Really wish Spring would get here. Ready to go out and tear around!
Might have to fire the car this week to circulate some fuel and smell the burnt E85.

The tethers on the brace connect to the mounts on the helmet to stabilize your head during an impact. Your safety harness belts go over the shoulders bracing of the brace to secure the brace in position. The new Rev 2 only weights 1.2lbs. It also does not put pressure on your collarbone and gives full range of head motion with no front or rear interference with your helmet.
Their booth had flocks of people at PRI. It was really good to see the attention to safety it deserves. I was never a fan of the donut style neck brace. I figure this is something I have been thinking about for a year. It costs a fair amount, and I hope I never have to use it. But I also figure it is a good insurance policy.
Give Motion Raceworks a call in Iowa, I hear they are running a special on them right now (have to call for pricing).

Sorry but I have to comment on the truck. That thing is gorgeous. Such a shame it had to have its first road trip in weather like that. You must have been cringing at the thought of getting into an accident.
Nice safety gear too.

It ended up being a memorable first trip.
I did buy an unlimited car wash pass as soon as I got home though. The car wash is within a half mile from the site where I work. I have been swinging by there any day it is dirty or about every three days even if it is clean.

Not much to update around here. Car is still sitting under the cover and haven't touched it. Might get some motivation in the next couple of weeks so it is ready for Spring.
I have received some of my components from Menscer Motorsports. I have the front springs and shock mounts shipping directly from AFCO to come yet.
I can easily handle the small imperfections from the scratch and dent sale to save some money.
Hope to see the rest of the components and get these mounted soon. Bring on the Spring weather!
